1. CCAFPS pays close attention to all cadets’ daily requirements so that they completely concentrate on theirstudies. Having considered all conditions for usage of cell phones in the campus carefully, CCAFPS preferscell phones not available in the campus based on reasons as follows:
- (a) A young cadet enrolled by CCAFPS may have a weak self-control discipline and some behaviors suchas showing off his gadget (particularly a cell phone), irrationally following a fashion trend, andpurchasing the latest model. All these customs may bring negative effect on the simple school life.
- (b) A cadet’s limited allowance may be insufficient for the monthly fee or the user charge. In case ofan excessive call charge, the cadet’s parents may spend more money to supplement their child’s expenses.
- (c) The management of cell phones in the campus is troublesome for both a user and CCAFPS.
- (d) CCAFPS argues that a cadet who lives in a group should focus on his study without outside interference, particularly interference of off-campus friends bringing negative effect on the cadet’s learningand study.
2. However, CCAFPS has discussed practicability of cell phones in the campus and the supporting measuresafter considering popularization of cell phones currently. Our new policy for usage of cell phones in thecampus should be updated in the foreseeable future
3. The pay stations installed at both sides of each building or telephone sets in every company can be freelyaccessible to all cadets who expect to contact their parents. (For more information, please refer tothe attached files.)
